Sumba Luxury Tour Disclaimer

Sumba Luxury Tour Disclaimer

Sumba Luxury Tour is a guided-tour brand operated by Indonesia Juara Trip and published by Juara Holding Group. Every price, fee, drive time, flight schedule and Pasola date on this site is a dated benchmark or estimate, not a binding offer. Lodges, stables and vehicles belong to independent partners. Only a written, confirmed quote creates a booking.

Last reviewed 15 September 2026. It covers sumbaluxurytour.com and every quote from our reservations desk.

Who publishes this site, and who runs the tours?

sumbaluxurytour.com is published by Juara Holding Group. The tours described here are arranged and operated by Indonesia Juara Trip, with bookings handled directly by its reservations team on WhatsApp +62 811-9941-919 and sales@indonesiajuara.asia.

We are a tour operator brand, not a hotel group, an airline, a horse stable or a park authority. Where a service is not ours, it is arranged via vetted licensed partners, and their terms apply alongside ours.

No affiliation is claimed with NIHI Sumba, Lelewatu, Cap Karoso, Maringi Eco Resort or any other property beyond the booking arrangements we make for guests. Their names describe where a tour stays, not endorsement, partnership status or ownership.

Are the prices on this site quotes or benchmarks?

Benchmarks. Every figure carries a date, and every figure can change without notice.

Item Benchmark Source and date
Private car and driver, standard comfort Quote on request quoted per vehicle for your dates, duration and inclusions
Luxury-tier 4×4 with cooler box and onboard Wi-Fi Quote on request quoted per vehicle for your dates, duration and inclusions
NIHI Sumba villa nights Quote on request quoted for your villa and dates; NIHI rates exclude 21% tax and service

IndonesiaJuara’s Sumba Private Trip 4D3N is priced from USD 390 per person (8 guests) to USD 700 per person (2 guests), depending on group size, with hotel twin share, entrance fees and meals included, per its table labelled 2025, as listed on IndonesiaJuara (checked 2026-09-16). Indonesia Juara Trip’s Sumba Private Trip 6D5N is listed at USD 570–1,020 per person depending on group size (USD 1,020 for 2 guests, USD 570 for 8 guests), including twin-share hotel, entrance fees and 15 meals, in its 2025 USD price table, as listed on Indonesia Juara Trip (checked 2026-09-16).

Three rules apply:

  1. Resort lodge nights are billed at each property’s published tariff plus tax and service.
  2. A total is a quote until the lodges are verified. Seasonal tariffs at NIHI, Lelewatu and Cap Karoso shift with each enquiry, so no combined total is a fixed price.
  3. Promotional lodge offers are subject to availability at booking, as NIHI’s rate conditions state.

Which government fees might change your total?

These fees are set by authorities and village councils, not by us. As of 2026:

Fee (2026) Amount Status
Accommodation-based tourism levy roughly 10% reported effective 1 January 2026

Any of these may change before you travel; the quote states which are payable in cash on site.

How firm are itineraries, drive times and flight schedules?

Itineraries are indicative. A guide may reorder days for weather, a funeral, road works or a village closed for ritual.

Drive times are approximate. A 2026 Lombok-Sumba-Sumbawa investment report described a newly paved highway crossing the island in under four hours, but rain, livestock and market days still decide how long a leg takes.

Flight schedules change. As of 2026, Wings Air and NAM Air fly Bali-Tambolaka daily in roughly 90 minutes, a Tambolaka-Labuan Bajo link launched in July 2026, and TransNusa announced direct Denpasar-Waingapu flights in June 2026. We do not publish departure times; delays and cancellations fall under each carrier’s conditions of carriage.

Who sets Pasola dates?

Rato ritual priests, not tour operators. Pasola is held each February and March, with dates fixed after the Nyale sea-worm readings and typically confirmed only one to two weeks ahead.

The official 2026 Kodi schedule, announced by RRI on 21 January 2026 at Kampung Mbuku Bhani, ran from Homba Kalayo on 9 February to Wainyapu on 11 March; Indahnesia.id listed the overall window as 15 February to 15 March. Any future date on this site is an estimate. A Pasola tour is sold as a window; a rescheduled ritual is not a breach on our part.

Are the lodges, stables and vehicles ours?

No. Every asset belongs to an independent partner or the host community.

  • Lodges: NIHI Sumba (Hoba Wawi, Wanokaka, West Sumba), Lelewatu (Wanokaka, West Sumba), Cap Karoso (Karoso Beach, Kodi, Southwest Sumba, about 50 minutes from Tambolaka by the resort’s estimate) and Maringi Eco Resort contract under their own house rules, cancellation policies and tax treatment.
  • Stables: sandalwood-horse rides, including NIHI’s own equine programme and Spa Safari, are run by the property or a local stable, at the rider’s own risk and under the stable’s weight, age and ability rules.
  • Vehicles: 4x4s come from licensed, insured local transport partners.
  • Villages: Ratenggaro, Praijing, Prailiu and Rende are living communities. Entry, photography and drone permission rest with village elders.

Drone guidance updated in January 2026: 15 km from airports, 30 m from people and buildings, daylight only, never over villages, temples or ritual grounds. Drone use is at the guest’s own responsibility.

What does Sumba Luxury Tour not advise on?

We are a tour operator brand, not a licensed financial, legal, tax or medical adviser.

  • Money: nothing here is investment advice, and no return or outcome is guaranteed.
  • Law: remarks on Law No. 18 of 2025 (effective 29 October 2025), Regulation 6/2025 on licensed guides and adventure safety, or visa rules are general information. Consult a qualified adviser before relying on them.
  • Health: Hepatitis A, typhoid and tetanus protection is commonly recommended for Sumba, but a travel-medicine clinic, not a tour page, decides what applies to you. Riding, hiking and lagoon swimming carry inherent risk.

What are the booking and liability terms?

  1. A booking exists only when our reservations team confirms it in writing and the deposit stated in the quote has cleared.
  2. Quotes are valid for the period printed on them and are re-priced if lodges, flights or fees move before confirmation.
  3. Cancellation and amendment terms are stated in each quote; partner lodges and airlines apply their own terms on top.
  4. Travel insurance covering medical care, evacuation, cancellation and adventure activities is a condition of travel.
  5. We arrange services with reasonable skill and care. To the extent Indonesian law allows, our liability is limited to the amount paid to us for the affected service and excludes loss caused by partners acting outside our instructions, weather, ritual calendars, road closures, airline changes or force majeure.
  6. Guests are responsible for valid passports, visas, health precautions and respectful conduct in villages.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Indonesian consumer-protection law.

How is personal data handled?

Indonesia Juara Trip processes guest data under Indonesia’s Personal Data Protection Law, Law No. 27 of 2022 (UU PDP), fully in force since October 2024. We collect only what a booking needs: names, passport details, contact numbers, dietary or medical notes you choose to share, and payment references. Data goes to lodges, airlines and transport partners solely to deliver your tour.
